Eleven years ago, Adsero Security opened its doors in Tampa, Florida with a straightforward mission: help organizations protect what matters most. What started as a small compliance consulting practice has grown into a full-service cybersecurity firm trusted by more than 180 enterprise clients across healthcare, finance, technology, and government.
As we mark this milestone, we want to reflect on the journey, share what we've learned, and look ahead at what's next.
The Early Days
Adsero was founded in 2015 at a time when many small and mid-sized organizations were just beginning to take cybersecurity seriously. Compliance frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS were becoming requirements rather than nice-to-haves, but most companies didn't have the in-house expertise to navigate them.
We saw an opportunity to bridge that gap — providing hands-on, practical security consulting that didn't just check boxes but actually improved our clients' security posture. From the beginning, we prioritized plain-language communication and solutions that teams could realistically implement.
Growing With Our Clients
Over the past eleven years, we've had the privilege of working alongside organizations as they've grown, helping them scale their security programs alongside their businesses. The numbers tell part of the story:
- 180+ enterprise clients across diverse industries
- 21,000+ security policies written and implemented
- 36,000+ security scans performed
- 120+ years of combined experience on our team
But the numbers only capture part of what we do. Behind every policy and every scan is a relationship — a client who trusts us to protect their organization and their customers.
Evolving Our Services
The cybersecurity landscape in 2026 looks nothing like it did in 2015. Threats have become more sophisticated, attack surfaces have expanded with cloud and remote work, and entirely new categories of risk have emerged with artificial intelligence.
We've evolved with these changes, expanding our practice areas to meet the challenges our clients face today:
- Security & Compliance — SOC 2 audits, HIPAA compliance, PCI-DSS assessments, penetration testing, risk management, and vCISO services remain the foundation of our practice
- AI Governance & Security — As AI adoption accelerated, we launched a dedicated AI governance practice covering regulatory compliance, AI agent security, business integration, and risk monitoring
- The Qwik Product Suite — We built QwikChek, QwikSec, and QwikPhish to make vulnerability scanning, security training, and phishing simulation accessible to organizations of every size
What Hasn't Changed
While our services have grown, our core values remain the same ones we started with:
Client-first approach. We take the time to understand each organization's unique challenges and tailor solutions accordingly. We don't sell one-size-fits-all packages.
Practical security. We balance protection with usability. Every recommendation we make is something your team can actually implement and sustain.
Transparent communication. No jargon, no fear-mongering. We give honest assessments and explain complex concepts in plain language.
Continuous learning. The threat landscape evolves daily. We invest heavily in staying ahead through research, education, and hands-on work with emerging technologies.
Looking Ahead
The next decade will bring challenges we can't fully predict — but that's always been the nature of cybersecurity. What we do know is that AI governance, supply chain security, and the convergence of compliance frameworks will continue to shape how organizations think about risk.
We're investing in these areas now so our clients are prepared for what's coming, not scrambling to catch up after the fact.
Thank You
To every client who has trusted us over the past eleven years — thank you. Your confidence in our team is what drives us to keep getting better. We're looking forward to the next decade of helping organizations secure their systems, protect their people, and navigate whatever comes next.
Here's to 11 years, and many more to come.
